Cotner Funeral Home Social Media Management
Taking a local Facebook page from 500 average views per post to over 1,000 in one year. Utilizing attention to boost brand awareness in our local community.

01
The Challenge
Cotner Funeral Home had always engaged with their community on social platforms, mainly Facebook, where its audience stagnated near 100 average views per post.
Funeral Home leadership requested a social media strategy which emphasized the funeral home's reputation as a positive force in the local community and increased Average views and engagement per post.
02
Finding Purpose
Concentrating on a local audience, I created a content plan which emphasized honesty and a genuine approach to discussing the atmosphere around losing a loved one and the journey it takes to recover from the grief.
This approach allowed the funeral home's content to assist those we have already served, creating an atmosphere of unity for those who have gone through loss, and those who might experience it soon.

The Content

Content created between 2016 - 2022 contributed to the funeral home's steady increase in Facebook activity. Posting weekly, the content strategy emphasized three pillars: Community, Healing, and Planning.
Each of the pillar types provided a clear direction for content, and allowed the relatively small team at Cotner Funeral Home flexibility in production.

Media Produced
A collection of media created to compliment the funeral home's various methods of outreach.
